About Torching

The torched finish is a heat-applied process that draws deep, natural colours directly from the metal. Applied to either a polished or satin head. Polished torching produces intense chromatic bronze and blue tones with a mirror-like depth. Satin torching gives a softer, more subtle colour that is easier to maintain. The outcome varies slightly with each putter — no two are exactly the same.

Important to know

Because torching is a natural process, results cannot be exactly predetermined. Nathan will talk you through what's achievable for your specific putter and share examples before work begins.

Care Guide

  • Wipe clean after play
  • Use a soft cloth only
  • Apply a light protective oil occasionally

AVOID

  • Abrasive cleaners or pads
  • Acidic substances (grass, sweat)
  • Extended exposure to moisture
